Field Medical Coordinator – National (North Lebanon)

About the role

The Field Medical Coordinator supports the implementation of primary health care services across the northern region of Lebanon. Working under the Health Coordinator, the role provides clinical and technical mentorship to RI‑supported Primary Health Care Centers (PHCCs) and ensures compliance with Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) and WHO quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor PHCC staff to implement LPSP components in line with MoPH policies.
• Review and approve diagnostic test requests and monitor prescription practices for rational use.
• Engage physicians on MoPH and WHO clinical guidelines and patient management plans.
• Monitor service quality, identify gaps, and ensure completeness of medical documentation and Health Information System (HIS) records.
• Track early warning systems for disease outbreaks and support timely investigations.
• Collaborate with pharmacists to promote rational medicine use.
• Plan and conduct regular field visits, aligning with program work plans.
• Provide technical input on procurement of medical supplies and equipment.
• Report operational and clinical challenges to the Health Coordinator.
