Emergency Coordinator (F/M) – Lebanon

About the role

Médecins du Monde is seeking an Emergency Coordinator to lead and operationalise its emergency response programme in Lebanon. The role will guide strategic planning, ensure programme relevance and quality, and support the implementation teams during a rapidly evolving humanitarian context.

Key responsibilities

• Design, launch and adapt country‑wide emergency programmes in line with MdM’s strategy.
• Monitor the humanitarian situation and adjust programme priorities accordingly.
• Define logistical, financial and human‑resource requirements for emergency actions.
• Identify funding needs, draft concept notes and support donor portfolio development.
• Coordinate with field, medical, MHPSS, MEAL, logistics, HR, finance and security teams to ensure coherent implementation.
• Develop monitoring tools, oversee data collection and contribute to regular reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience in humanitarian emergency coordination, preferably within the health sector.
• Strong leadership and decision‑making abilities in high‑pressure environments.
• Excellent collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluency in English; French or Arabic is an asset.
