Early Years (KG1) Homeroom Teacher – IB PYP

About the role

Al-Hayat International School is looking for a passionate Early Years 1 (KG1) Homeroom Teacher to join its International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme community. You will work with children aged 3+ in a nurturing, inquiry‑based environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and a love of learning.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, play‑based learning experiences aligned with the IB PYP and Reggio‑inspired approaches.
• Create an inclusive, child‑centered classroom that promotes inquiry and exploration.
• Support the development of early literacy and communication skills.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of each learner.
• Assess and monitor student progress using a variety of formative and summative strategies.
• Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary units of inquiry.
• Communicate regularly with parents about student progress and well‑being.
• Integrate appropriate technology to enhance teaching and learning.
• Participate actively in school events, meetings, and professional development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or Early Childhood Education.
• Teaching diploma or equivalent certification.
• 2–5 years of relevant early‑years teaching experience.
• Fluent English; Arabic is an asset.
• Familiarity with the IB PYP is preferred.
