Digital Embroidery Designer

About the role

Zuhaïr Murad is looking for a highly motivated Digital Embroidery Designer to create and develop signature embroideries for couture, bridal and ready‑to‑wear collections. The role blends artistic vision with technical precision, turning creative concepts into refined embroidery artwork.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct creative research, prepare visual boards and support seasonal embroidery direction.
• Translate artwork and inputs from the Creative Director into hand‑drawn or digitized embroidery concepts.
• Develop full embroidery motifs, layouts and technical sheets detailing stitches, textures, placements and materials.
• Adjust designs for fabric type, stitch limitations and production requirements; simulate placements and colourways on garment sketches.
• Collaborate with production teams, ateliers and suppliers to ensure feasibility, quality and accurate interpretation of designs.
• Review prototypes, assist during embroidery trials and refine designs based on feedback.
• Support studio workflow by archiving samples, managing swatches and maintaining development databases.

Required profile

• Strong artistic sensibility aligned with luxury fashion and high‑end embroidery craftsmanship.
• Degree in Textile Design, Graphic Design, Fashion Design with a textile focus or equivalent.
• Highly organized, meticulous and able to meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Hand drawing and digital illustration.
• Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign.
• Embroidery techniques including beading, threadwork, appliqué, 3D embroidery and mixed media.
