Consultant Electrician – Lebanon

About the role

The United Nations Office of the Special Coordinator for Lebanon seeks a qualified Consultant Electrician to ensure reliable electrical services across its premises. The role is based at Villa Sehnaoui, Yarze, Baabda and requires rapid response to any electrical issues, including emergencies.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspection, repair, installation, testing and wiring of all electrical apparatus within UNSCOL premises.
• Install electrical components according to architectural drawings and code specifications.
• Run wires through conduit, test connections with volt/ohmmeters and oscilloscopes, and troubleshoot faulty equipment.
• Maintain and repair 3‑phase industrial breakers, machine control panels, and related mechanical systems.
• Conduct periodic inspections, replace circuit breakers and switches as needed.
• Provide 24/7 on‑call emergency support, reporting to the site promptly when called.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum three years of experience in electrical repair, maintenance, or a related field.
• Fluency in Arabic and basic knowledge of English.
• Residency in Lebanon with ability to travel to Baabda for work and emergencies, including nights and weekends.

Required skills

• Electrical wiring installation and repair.
• Conduit installation and wire pulling.
• Operation of volt/ohmmeters and oscilloscopes.
• Maintenance of 3‑phase industrial breakers.
• Machine control panel installation and troubleshooting.
