Communications Internship – Fall 2026

About the role

Join WETA’s Communications team as an intern for the Fall 2026 term. This in‑office role in Arlington, Virginia offers hands‑on experience with public‑relations projects, events, and corporate communications in a non‑profit public‑media environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Communications team on corporate communications projects, media outreach, and event coordination.
• Assist with public‑relations efforts for national and local WETA productions, such as documentary series and signature dishes.
• Develop editorial content and storytelling for publications and branding initiatives.
• Proofread and edit written materials to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Collaborate with multiple supervisors on a variety of tasks while maintaining attention to detail.

Required profile

• Enrolled as a rising junior, rising senior, or graduate student.
• Strong writing and proofreading abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Interest in public media, history, or non‑profit sectors.
• Availability to work 24–32 hours per week, 3–4 days onsite.
