Admission Department Supervisor

About the role

The Admission Department Supervisor leads the daily operations of Monla Hospital’s Admission Department, ensuring smooth, accurate, and courteous patient registration for elective, emergency, and outpatient services. The role combines team leadership, compliance oversight, and coordination with clinical and administrative units to deliver a high‑quality patient experience from first contact to bed assignment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, schedule, and coordinate admission and registration staff across all shifts.
• Oversee pre‑authorization and insurance approval processes in partnership with the Insurance/Third‑Party Payer Department.
• Monitor bed availability and collaborate with Nursing and Bed Management for timely patient placement.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient privacy, and Ministry of Public Health regulations.
• Train, mentor, evaluate staff performance, and conduct regular team meetings.
• Prepare and review admission statistics and reports for management.
• Manage deposit collection, guarantee letters, and payment arrangements prior to admission.
• Develop and update department policies, procedures, and workflows.
• Coordinate staff scheduling, attendance, and leave to guarantee coverage.
• Work with IT to troubleshoot and improve the Hospital Information System (HIS) related to admission.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Hospital Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in hospital admission or patient access, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Prior experience in a Lebanese hospital setting is strongly preferred.
• Fluency in Arabic, French, and/or English (spoken and written).
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and customer‑service skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Hospital Information Systems (HIS).
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office applications.
