Accounting Professional – Africa Operations

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site position supports the financial operations of our African markets. The accountant will ensure accurate daily transaction processing, maintain the general ledger, and assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Record journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts.
• Prepare, review and reconcile financial statements.
• Process invoices, payments and receipts using accounting software.
• Support budgeting, cash‑flow monitoring and financial reporting for African operations.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable accounting standards.
• Collaborate with finance, operations and management teams to provide reliable financial data.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of financial statements and ability to present information clearly.
• Proficiency with accounting software and hands‑on experience recording journal entries.
• Fluency in French (mandatory).
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Excellent organizational skills, integrity and commitment to confidentiality.
