Seeds Unit Manager - Europe & Asia

About the role

The Seeds Unit Manager will lead the Seeds business across Europe and Asia, driving growth, market penetration and product development. Reporting to the Unit Head, the manager acts as the primary expert and point of contact for internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Seeds business plan to meet revenue and market share targets.
• Provide technical and commercial information to support managers in product positioning and market entry.
• Maintain up‑to‑date market intelligence on products, suppliers and competitive trends.
• Represent the company at international exhibitions, negotiate agreements, pricing and discounts.
• Generate detailed supplier profiles covering brand, formulation, market position and strengths/weaknesses.
• Ensure the Seeds database is current and reflects market requirements and future trends.
• Conduct field visits to assess sales volume, testing activities and potential new varieties.
• Formulate and implement strategic business development plans to identify new opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive innovation and improve competitiveness.
• Negotiate and manage supplier relationships to secure a reliable and diverse supply chain.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in the seed or agribusiness sector, preferably in a managerial capacity.
• Proven track record of achieving sales and market development targets.
• Strong network of contacts within the seed industry across Europe and Asia.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to analyse market trends and translate insights into actionable strategies.
