Radiographer – Medical Imaging Specialist

About the role

The Radiographer will deliver high‑quality diagnostic imaging services to patients at AUBMC, ensuring safety, accuracy and a compassionate patient experience. The role involves preparing patients, operating imaging equipment across multiple modalities and collaborating with clinical staff.

Key responsibilities

• Greet patients, verify identification, assess contraindications and provide clear procedural information.
• Perform routine and specialized radiographic examinations (including fluoroscopy, IVP, retrograde urethrogram) while applying ALARA principles and proper positioning.
• Conduct quality control tests on imaging and accessory equipment and report any malfunctions.
• Document techniques, manage after‑care, archive images and evaluate completeness of studies.

Required profile

• Radiography Diploma or equivalent degree with 3‑5 years of experience as a Junior Radiographer at AUBMC, or a Bachelor’s Degree in Radiography.
• Fluency in Arabic and English (IET ≥ 500); French is an asset.
• Ability to work under the supervision of the Medical Imaging/Administrative Manager and the Operations and External Affairs Director.

Required skills

• Proficient knowledge of radiographic techniques and radiation protection (ALARA).
• Experience with fluoroscopic and special procedures such as voiding cystogram, IVP and retrograde urethrogram.
• Competence in quality assurance and equipment quality‑control testing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
