Mid-Level Legal Associate – Startup Law

About the role

Seed & Scale, a Dubai‑based law firm that supports technology startups, is looking for a mid‑level Legal Associate to join its remote team. You will work closely with the partner/general counsel, providing hands‑on legal advice to founders across a fast‑moving startup ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with the partner/general counsel on client matters.
• Advise founders on day‑to‑day legal issues and company structuring.
• Draft and execute startup‑related documents such as SAFEs, convertible notes, share subscription agreements, founders’ agreements and ESOPs.
• Provide guidance on corporate governance and regulatory compliance, including financial services and virtual assets.
• Prepare fundraising documentation and commercial contracts.
• Conduct due diligence for accelerator programs.
• Liaise with corporate service providers, notaries and trustees.
• Participate in workshops and legal clinics for startup communities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Law from a recognized institution.
• 3‑5 years of experience in corporate/commercial law, with at least 1 year in venture capital or startup law.
• Familiarity with UAE laws and regulations, including DIFC and ADGM.
• Experience in fintech or regulated businesses (payments, lending, virtual assets) is a strong plus.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
