Construction Accountant (Abidjan)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to support our construction business in Abidjan. The successful candidate will manage the full spectrum of accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting and effective cost control across all projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Monitor project costs, commitments, payments, budgets, and cash flow.
• Review and process supplier and subcontractor invoices.
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain proper accounting records.
• Collaborate with Project Managers on financial performance and forecasting.
• Assist senior management with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Ensure compliance with accounting, tax, and statutory regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction sector.
• Strong knowledge of construction and project accounting, job costing, and cost control.
• Proven ability to prepare accurate financial and management reports.
• Independent worker with strong analytical and organizational abilities.
