Accountant

About the role

CIS Group, an ICT company based in Jal El Dib, Lebanon, is seeking a motivated Accountant to join its dynamic accounting team. You will work alongside experienced professionals, develop core accounting competencies, and have opportunities for growth within the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Apply accounting principles to analyze financial information and prepare financial statements.
• Assist in timely billing of accounts and monthly reconciliation of all accounts to the balance sheet.
• Balance daily transfers to the city ledger, post updates, and maintain the accounts receivable system.
• Verify arithmetic accuracy of invoices and ensure proper documentation and approvals before processing.
• Process invoices, statements, and payments for goods and services.
• Reconcile supplier statements, report discrepancies, and oversee petty cash and travel expense reconciliations.
• Check tax documentation for accuracy, maintain tax file numbers and related records, and ensure controls over accounting transactions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Familiarity with NSSF and tax declaration processes is a plus.
• Proficiency in Arabic, English, and French.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial statement preparation.
• Experience with invoicing, account reconciliation, and cash handling.
• Attention to detail in verifying documentation and tax compliance.
