Social & Behavior Change Coordinator – Beirut

About the role

The Social & Behavior Change (SBC) Coordinator provides technical and operational support for planning, implementing and monitoring SBC interventions across UNICEF programmes in Lebanon. The role strengthens community engagement, supports behaviour‑change initiatives and enhances accountability mechanisms.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development and operationalisation of evidence‑based SBC strategies and plans across programme sectors.
• Conduct situation analyses, including behavioural, social and cultural assessments.
• Integrate SBC approaches into programme design and planning processes.
• Lead the implementation of SBC activities in collaboration with partners and stakeholders.
• Coordinate community engagement initiatives and outreach targeting vulnerable populations.
• Develop, adapt and disseminate SBC materials, tools and communication products.
• Ensure monitoring, reporting and learning on SBC interventions align with UNICEF standards.

Required profile

• Experience in designing and delivering SBC interventions in humanitarian or development contexts.
• Strong understanding of risk communication, community engagement and social listening.
• Ability to work collaboratively with partners, government and civil‑society actors.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
