Senior Project Coordinator

About the role

The Senior Project Coordinator will lead the implementation of a development initiative that addresses gender equality, protection, social norms, faith, and community engagement in Lebanon. Working closely with ABAAD’s technical and operational teams, the role ensures high‑quality, timely, and context‑sensitive delivery of project activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day coordination and implementation of the project according to approved objectives, workplans, timelines, and budgets.
• Develop and regularly update implementation plans, stakeholder engagement plans, activity schedules, and risk mitigation measures.
• Coordinate with ABAAD’s programmatic, MEL, communications, finance, and operations teams to ensure seamless delivery.
• Manage external consultants, service providers, and partners, ensuring compliance with survivor‑centered, do‑no‑harm, confidentiality, safeguarding, and PSEA principles.
• Contribute to narrative and financial monitoring, reporting, and other project documentation.
• Support the integration of gender equality, GBV prevention, protection, social‑norms transformation, and positive masculinities across all activities.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of the intersection between gender, GBV, protection, social norms, faith, and Lebanon’s personal status system.
• Proven experience in project management and stakeholder engagement within complex socio‑cultural contexts.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an asset.
