Security Assistant (UNOPS Local Individual Contractor Agreement - Level 3)

About the role

The Security Assistant provides dedicated administrative, coordination and field support to UNICEF Lebanon's Security Section, ensuring effective implementation of security risk management measures and staff safety procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Manage staff security data (EPICS and related records).
• Support the warden system and security communications.
• Coordinate residential and hotel security assessments.
• Assist with planning and tracking of high‑level visits and field missions.
• Handle security clearances and movement tracking.
• Provide administrative and planning support to the Security Section.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in security management, political/social sciences, international relations, public administration or a related field.
• Minimum three years of professional experience in administration and data management, preferably with UN agencies, NGOs or government security bodies.
• Relevant experience in security, safety or emergency management.

Required skills

• Experience with EPICS or similar security data systems.
