Release Management Consultant

About the role

Murex, a global fintech leader in trading and risk management, is looking for a Release Management Consultant to ensure the smooth delivery of high-quality software releases across its MX.3 platform. The role sits at the intersection of operations and project management, requiring a proactive mindset and a focus on continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the full MX.3 software release lifecycle, overseeing daily code integration and preliminary quality tests.
• Validate code through advanced functional automated tests in collaboration with the Quality Assurance department.
• Create software versions, secure content, and define exit criteria for market release.
• Plan and deliver software patches to address client‑reported issues in production environments.
• Operate across various platforms and tools for traceability, monitoring, and execution of release operations.
• Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders at all levels.
• Draft and document processes, provide training materials, and streamline best practices.
• Implement and improve release management processes and tools using data‑driven metrics.
• Assess product and client requests to balance delivery value and cost.
• Facilitate decision‑making during escalations or tooling bottlenecks by coordinating with multiple teams.
• Propose actionable solutions to mitigate delivery delays and ensure compliance with company‑level SLOs and quality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, Data Analytics, AI, or a related engineering field (Master’s degree a plus).
• 2–3 years of experience in a related area such as release management, software operations, or quality assurance.
• Strong interest in operational work and ability to execute repetitive tasks to meet SLOs.
• Experience using data and metrics to identify improvement areas.
• Ability to define and implement process improvements.
