Public Administration Intern – UN ESCWA

About the role

The Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) is seeking a Public Administration Intern to support its External Relations and Outreach Division in Beirut. The internship lasts up to six months and provides exposure to UN processes and regional development work.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with research and information gathering related to the team’s work.
• Support the preparation, organization and review of documents, presentations and other materials.
• Collect, compile and organize information and data for reports and databases.
• Help maintain and update databases and working documents.
• Provide logistical support for meetings, workshops and other events.
• Perform administrative and coordination tasks as required.
• Contribute to the creation of communication and outreach materials.
• Attend meetings, take notes and prepare summaries or follow‑up points.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a graduate program, final year of a bachelor program, or already holding a university degree.
• Computer literate in standard software applications.
• Demonstrated interest in United Nations work and commitment to the UN Charter.
• Ability to interact effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
