MarCom/PR Manager

About the role

The MarCom/PR Manager will lead the development and execution of Telecel’s corporate branding, public relations and digital marketing strategies across its expanding African operations. Reporting to senior leadership, the role ensures a consistent brand presence while driving engagement through multiple communication channels.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the Group corporate brand identity and create a strategic action plan, revamping the brand where needed.
• Design, implement and manage a comprehensive re‑branding strategy for new Telecel entities across Africa.
• Build and execute the overall PR, communication and digital marketing strategy for the company and its subsidiaries.
• Oversee digital marketing channels, monitor performance, and produce regular status reports.
• Coordinate with appointed media and production agencies to secure coverage in tier‑one and premium publications.
• Research competition, advertising trends and benchmarks, providing recommendations for improvement.
• Promote, attend and report on special events, corporate milestones and other key activities.
• Carry out any additional tasks required by the board of directors, executives or Group CEO.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Technologies or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience developing and implementing digital marketing and communications strategies.
• In‑depth knowledge of digital marketing channels and online marketing tools.
• Hands‑on experience with SEO, Google Analytics and CRM software.
• Basic understanding of web design procedures.
• Strong ownership mindset, critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and time‑management skills.
• Fluency in English and French.
