Human Rights-Based Approach (HRBA) Trainer

About the role

Trócaire is seeking a Human Rights-Based Approach (HRBA) Trainer to deliver the first of three capacity‑strengthening trainings for partner organisations in Lebanon. The trainer will support partners in applying HRBA principles to their protection and advocacy programmes, helping shift social norms around gender roles.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver a comprehensive HRBA training curriculum tailored to local partners.
• Facilitate interactive sessions that build participants’ practical understanding of HRBA concepts.
• Provide on‑the‑job coaching and feedback to ensure consistent application of HRBA across programmes.
• Document lessons learned and contribute to shared learning among the three partner organisations.
• Collaborate with Trócaire’s project team to align training outcomes with project objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in human‑rights‑based programming, protection, or advocacy work.
• Strong facilitation and adult‑learning skills.
• Experience working with NGOs or community‑based organisations in conflict‑affected settings.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an asset.
