Housekeeping Coordinator

About the role

The Housekeeping Coordinator ensures smooth operation of the housekeeping office by managing keys, documents, and daily reports. This position supports the hotel’s commitment to guest privacy, security, and high service standards while maintaining an organized work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Record and collect all keys and paperwork within the housekeeping office.
• Sort and file daily activity reports.
• Protect guest and employee privacy and security.
• Answer telephone calls promptly, follow proper etiquette, and disseminate messages.
• Maintain and update housekeeping files.
• Generate and print the Opera system room discrepancy reports twice daily and forward copies to Accounts and Front Office.
• Keep the housekeeping office clean and tidy.
• Remove outdated reports each month according to hotel record‑keeping standards.
• Provide courteous support to co‑workers.

Required profile

• High school diploma or vocational qualification.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar hospitality or administrative role.
• Proficiency in English.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Adaptability, flexibility and ability to work under stress.

Required skills

• Opera hotel management system.
