Architect for Design and Supervision of ISF Stations

About the role
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is seeking an architect to redesign and supervise the rehabilitation of Internal Security Forces (ISF) gendarmerie stations in several Lebanese municipalities. The consultant will work under the Rule of Law and Governance Chief Technical Advisor and ensure that the stations become user‑friendly and meet community security needs.
Key responsibilities
- Redesign the ISF station in Tebnine to improve accessibility and functionality.
- Supervise rehabilitation works at ISF stations in Antelias, Bourj El Barajneh, Baalbeck and Tebnine.
- Ensure all works comply with ISF technical standards and Lebanese building regulations.
- Coordinate with UNDP project staff, local authorities and contractors.
- Monitor progress, quality and safety on site, reporting regularly to the Project Officer.
Required profile
- Licensed architect with experience in public‑sector building design.
- Familiarity with security or police facility requirements.
- Ability to work on‑site up to 18 days per month for an 8‑month period.
- Knowledge of Lebanese construction codes and standards.
