Machine Learning Internship - Recommendation Systems

About the role

Join the cutting-edge engineering team responsible for the recommendation and personalization engines of Anghami (music) and OSN+ (movies & series). You will play a key role in shaping the user experience for tens of millions of users across the Middle East and North Africa.

Main Missions

• Participate in the end-to-end Machine Learning pipeline: from data preparation and modeling to evaluation and production deployment.
• Work with massive volumes of user interaction data to train, evaluate, and iterate on advanced ML models.
• Design experiments and analyze results against production baselines to ensure high-quality performance.
• Conduct literature reviews, prototype innovative ideas, and present your findings to the technical team.
• Gain hands-on experience with the full ML lifecycle: Data → Model → Offline Evaluation → A/B Testing → Production.

Profile sought

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• Strong analytical mindset with a passion for solving complex problems through data.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-scale environment.
• Proactive learner with a desire to stay updated on the latest ML research and trends.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Python and common ML libraries (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn).
• Solid understanding of Machine Learning algorithms and statistical modeling.
• Experience or knowledge in Recommendation Systems and Personalization.
• Familiarity with data manipulation tools and large-scale datasets.
