About the role
The Health Officer supports the International Rescue Committee’s emergency health response in Beirut, ensuring that health activities are delivered effectively and in line with IRC procedures, technical guidance, and Ministry of Public Health protocols. The role involves regular field visits, close coordination with health actors, and proactive problem‑solving for partners.
Key responsibilities
- Support implementation and follow‑up of emergency health activities in targeted areas.
- Conduct regular field visits to primary health care centres, collective shelters, and community‑based sites.
- Monitor day‑to‑day partner‑led and IRC‑supported activities, including outreach, mobile services, and emergency interventions.
- Track indicators, targets, and work plans; verify and compile partner reports and activity data.
- Maintain accurate documentation of activities, referrals, and case follow‑up.
- Coordinate with MEAL, health, protection, supply chain, and other IRC departments.
- Participate in coordination meetings with PHCCs, local partners, municipalities, and community focal points.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years of experience in health program implementation, preferably in emergency or humanitarian settings.
- Experience working with NGOs and/or community‑based health interventions.
