Education Associate – Formal Education/Systems

About the role

The Education Associate will support the implementation of UNICEF’s Formal Education programme in Lebanon, working under the direct supervision of the Education Specialist (NOC). The role focuses on strengthening field‑level monitoring, data collection, analysis and coordination with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MEHE).

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical, programmatic and operational support for the Formal Education programme in Lebanon.
• Conduct regular field visits to public schools to monitor quality, compliance and progress.
• Collect, consolidate and analyse programme data to inform evidence‑based decisions.
• Document implementation bottlenecks, lessons learned and best practices.
• Support the NOC Specialist and Education manager in engagement with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MEHE) and other education stakeholders.
• Assist in the development and operationalisation of frameworks such as the Accelerated Learning Programme SOPs, Basic Literacy and Numeracy guidelines, certification processes and the national NFE assessment.

Required profile

• Under direct supervision of the Education Specialist (NOC) with experience in education programmes.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced humanitarian environment and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong analytical mindset for data collection and reporting.
